It was the first flagship sedan sold under the Acura nameplate, until being renamed in 1996 to the Acura 3.5RL. Till date this is Acura's Best and Most sought after Car around the world and thus it was very popular in Nigeria in the 90's not only because of its Beautiful Lines and Features very modern in that era, but also largely in part to being one of the first cars from Japan that brought to the forefront the Japanese take on Inexpensive and Innovative Avant Garde Vehicles, with the 'Soft-to-the-Touch' Dashboard and Center Console Buttons which was an Innovation they Introduced to Elevate the Luxury Appeal of their Vehicles and that was not to long after Imbibed And Implemented by other Major Vehicle Brands such as Mercedes-Benz whilst also concurrently finding its way into other Industries that make use of Buttons in their Products such as the Electronic Industry's Tech-Giants like Sony, Phillips and Aiwa. Famously used by Pierce Brosnan in the James Bond franchise, precisely in the Blockbuster Hit, Tomorrow Never Dies where Brosnan (as James Bond), Famously used a Nokia 9210 Mobile Phone to wirelessly control the car, The E-38 Model is the Third Generation of the BMW 7-Series line. This was also without vagueness the specific model that Gangster Rapper Tupac Shakur was Famously shot in.
The 7-Series Category of BMW Automobiles is the platform that BMW has Historically always used as a Test-Bed for the Testing of Their New and/or Innovative Gadgetry or Technology. As a matter of Fact, the 7-Series, Generally known by BMW's Numerous Fans as well as The Average Automotive Enthusiast as the Firms "Beast from Bavaria", is habitually packed with so much gadgetry and Technology that a fully loaded one, though setting a bloke back a couple Thousand-Dollars, Exaggeratedly makes a G-4 Jet look like a wheelbarrow. Because of the Bigger Market Share and the Monumentally Larger Demand that Premium/Compact Vehicles get Throughout the world being that more people are able to afford them unlike their Luxury Counterparts and as such it is worth noting that more often than not, Luxury Vehicles usually have the sole aim of Building A Solid Brand Image for Multi-Class/Multi-Segment Vehicle Manufacturers, Such as BMW as opposed to having the purpose of securing the Huge Sales Numbers that are Realized from Vehicles in the aforementioned Premium/Compact Vehicle-Class/Segment.
All These Strategies Further lead to more revenue and This means that Vehicles in the Premium/Compact Segment are Very Obviously Inferior to Vehicles in Their Luxury Counterpart such as the 7-Series but by no means are these Premium/Compact Vehicles inferior to The Firms that Manufacturer them. Two Examples of Premium/Compact Vehicles produced by BMW are the Subcompact BMW 1-Series and Compact-Executive BMW 3-series.
